Pagan Word starts with........

I love words. Sometimes my sister and I would be cheekygeeks and just read from a dictionary, challenging each other, finding words that sound impossible to put into a sentence.
Since I've been on this Wiccan path. I never knew how diverse and central some of the themes were. Well, I've been amazed to learn there's a entire gamut of new terminology. Academic terminology...This goes to show you that there's lots of knowledge and academia behind the surface of this religion.

So, when some lug head says, 'hmmph...them some crazee pagean's, a bunch of heathens runnin' round'...just toss them a word or two just to baffle them. They might think you're putting a spell on them, or just being rude, but the beauty of it all is that paganism is a religion, a spiritual choice that honors the native and western traditions, and some of the terminology sounds down right archaic.

And with my blessings, here's your pagan word for today......I guess I should say esoteric as well as pagan...I don't know about you...but, for the first time, I've just heard this word....APOCATASTASIS...

When you love words, you can kinda break it down, decipher the origin and make more words from that one word. So far, I can see the word (apoca)lyptic..so, apocatastasis might have to do with something on a large scale. Maybe not destroying, but restoring. Well, think about this and give a comment or two.

Mercury Retrograde

Life is interesting. Well, that we all know. I've been looking for work...trying not to think about this Mercury retrograde business and how it effects many things, myself and the world included.
Mercury retrograde tells me it won't be ignored...it ran havoc with my computer, appointments, communication...yeah, all those things it's about. I felt like I was walking backwards, going nowhere.
This retrograde picked on all the things that would bug the heck out of me, it also pointed out to me that I should focus on the small stuff; I should be taking care of the details and take heed to its' visit.

I had a friend that swore by Mercury retrograde. She had such faith in its powers, that she would stop her life midway if she needed to. I found this hilarious, but, I understand where she's coming from. Not that I will stop my life because of it's coming, but will become more aware.
So, you see, I honor the Goddess, I honor myself being a woman, my cycle, and now the newest addition, retrogrades...yeah, Mercury is retrograde about 20% of the time and last way to long for me.

Today, mercury went direct. Things shifted back to a less stressful state. My computer is working fine...although, it's out of ink. People are returning phone calls and communication is smooth. I see the grandeur of life. And I'm stepping one foot in front of the other, no longer walking backwards.

I have to say Hail and Welcome to Hermes, the winged messenger...he rules this planet. I should know that when Mercury goes retrograde, it reminds us by slowing down life, making us repeat and remain stuck...become a bit unworldly...

When we don't sense Hermes presence, or listen to the messages from our ancestors that's like getting a thump on the head. We seek our ancestors' wisdom everyday, and these retrogrades would be an opportune time.

I'm just sayin' that when Mercury goes retro, it's a great time to honor Hermes, call to him and ask that he open the gates so we can commune with our ancestors and gain their wisdom. This is a most simple form of ritual to do 20% of the time.

What is artistic expression and how is it used to produce results? There are many avenues in which an artist can express him or herself.

According to the dictionary one of the meanings for

Artistic - showing imaginative skill in arrangement or execution.

Expression - The art or act of expressing especially in words or symbols. A word, phrase, or sign that expresses a thought, feeling, or quality.

So when we create, we all express through our imaginations, we work from a thought and the process goes onto the medium whether it be board, box, paper, we are expressing our creativity, our talent. We create that One of A Kind work of art.

On Etsy, everyone of us is an artist and everyone of us have some form of creative artistic expression to showcase. As a Pagan Artist of POEST, we all have the opportunity to share with our like minds how our Gods, our Muse speak through us. These handcrafted items are our creations of artistic expressions and it's a process to recreate these images from a rough design etched in our minds to actual creating them with our hands. I know for myself, when I have an idea in mind and go to work it out in clay or wood...the image begins to form and design itself.

Is it the energies of the Muse, the Gods that exude from my fingertips? I say it's a three way process...from Above we connect with the idea, in the middle we attain the resources to create and from Below we make the creation happen.

Earths Energies 100A.D. What's it all about?

Hail and Welcome,
My name is Athena. I'm a crafter from Earth'senergies@etsy.com. I handcraft a majority of my projects from an unscripted idea as well as many of them are inspired from designs created from the Greco-Roman, Celtic, Norse, and Egyptian eras. It doesn't stop there.
I created my first piece of work in clay of Hermes...this was inspired from a photograph from a magazine. Then, I had created the woman to create balance of man and woman celebrating life.
Earthsenergies is what I've decided to call my works being that the inspiration came so spontaneous and the crafting of the items were completely in the hands of my unbeknown muse. All the sources that I use to work with earthsenergies are from the resources and sources that are within the land. I've also begin doing lots of woodburning. I thoroughly have been enjoying woodburning and will make it a regular for earthsenergies.
